Sleep Hygiene is very important ,keep to it and see yourself looking sharp in the mornings .
Hygiene exists not only for oral or personal care, sleep hygiene also called good sleep habits can help ensure a good night’s sleep.
Here are some tips to help you sleep better:
- Avoid caffeine and nicotine containing beverages late in the day
- Avoid alcohol. Though it can make you drowsy and help you fall asleep, it doesn't give you a restful sleep; it interferes with sleep quality
- Have a light meal before bedtime Heavy meals may cause heartburn and restlessness
- Try to have a sleep routine- sleep at the same time and get up at the same time each morning.
- Exercise regularly. Be sure you do not exercise close to bedtime as your body might get stimulated and active. Have a 3-4 hour interval between exercise and bedtime.
- Eat right, eat healthy. Foods you eat have a way of affecting your sleep
- Use your bed for just sleep or sex. That way your body is conditioned for those activities when you lie down
- Avoid watching television while waiting to sleep. The noise and light might probably not let you.
- Avoid forcing yourself to sleep. If you can’t sleep, read a book or listen to cool music until you feel sleepy
